I am an Edinburgh based artist with a passion for trees.
My work is inspired by their forms, their history and the influence that human actions have in shaping them. It has a strong emphasis on drawing, both in the field in the woods and wild places of Scotland, and in my studio at Edinburgh's art's complex.

Trees go east
I'm very pleased to say that my work will soon be on show at the Dirleton Gallery, a lovely gallery in the beautiful East Lothian village, famous for its castle. It's also quite close to Yellowcraigs beach and its distinctive twisted pines along the shoreline, which are now being protected from further damage after recent vandalism. So if you're out for a bracing walk on the beach as I was the other day, the Dirleton Gallery is a great place to warm up as they do a mean chocolate brownie too!
Community
I also work with communities across the Lothians and central Scotland, specialising in projects which use the arts as a tool for community development. I have a particular interest in projects which enable marginalised communities to have their voice heard.More Community work >
