Design
I'm particularly interested in creative communication and projects which enable clients to use visual media to their advantage.
This is especially important where the intended audience may have literacy issues and I've collaborated with West Lothian's Adult Basic Education Team on a number of such projects.
I use my group-work skills and arts knowledge to enable people to express themselves visually as well as verbally. I'm not a graphic designer but do have enough understanding of print media to help people translate their ideas into reality.
I can help organisations communicate:
- information about them or an issue they deal with
- their culture and ethos
- their aims and achievements
- to potential new members
- to funding bodies
Some examples
- 'I'm a Mum, now what?' book project with Sure Start and Adult Basic Education
- Fun Day posters, Knightsridge Neighbourhood Network
- Induction collage panels at BLES training project, Blackburn
- 'Buddy Binder' mental health services information with Adult Basic Education and Bathgate House
