Originally from Matlock in Derbyshire, I studied Three Dimensional Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. After three years working as a puppet maker and performer, I moved to Edinburgh in 1994 and spent the next fifteen years developing a practice combining art with a community development approach, working with marginalised communities throughout Central Scotland.
In 2008 I set up my studio in Edinburgh to focus on drawing and began to develop a body of work inspired by trees. Since 2009 I have exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Scotland and beyond.
I am a member of the Society of Scottish Artists.
